High School Style

In high school I made much of my clothing and my doc martins were in heavy rotation.
I love that I could wear a similar uniform today and look relatively stylish. More
reason to sew!

Sketch Book Friday

Sketch book Friday began with me learning that light pencil sketches do not
scan well. More incentive for me to do colored illustrations. 

Goals

Ah... staring at the blank page. I have decided to start sketchbook Fridays
here to get myself jump started on sketching again. Don't you love Lizzy  Stewart's
above illustration? Her new zine is on sale here.

Time to Wish

Now is a good time to make a wish! According to Lauren over at the sphinx & the
milky way, it is a new moon in Pisces, which means it is a powerful time for new

Beatrice Wood

This is pretty much a reminder to myself not to miss the Beatrice Wood exhibition
at the Santa Monica Museum of Art ending February 25th. It is part of Pacific
Standard Time. I am a huge Beatrice Wood fan, and had the honor of meeting her
in her studio while she was alive. Her autobiography, I Shock Myself is well worth
a read. Her studio is still open to the public.
